Repair Authorization Policy
Effective: October 14, 2025
What Is a Repair Authorization?
A repair authorization is your formal consent for DRYVE-dispatched technicians to inspect and perform automotive repairs on your vehicle. DRYVE will never begin any billable repair work without your explicit approval of the scope and cost.
How Authorization Works
- Booking: When you book through dryve.site, you describe the issue and receive an estimated price range. This estimate is not a final authorization — it is a preliminary quote based on the information you provide.
- On-site diagnostic: When the technician arrives, they inspect your vehicle and confirm the scope of work and final price before any repair begins.
- Customer approval: You receive a digital repair order showing the exact parts, labor, and total cost. You must approve this order — by digital signature via the DRYVE customer portal or verbal confirmation recorded by the technician — before work begins.
- Work begins only after approval: No billable repair labor or parts installation takes place until you have authorized the specific repair order.
- Supplemental authorization: If the technician discovers additional issues during the repair that require additional parts or labor, they will pause work and contact you for a supplemental authorization before proceeding.
What You Are Authorizing
By approving a DRYVE repair order, you authorize:
- The DRYVE-dispatched technician to perform the specific repairs listed on the approved order
- DRYVE to charge the payment method on file for the approved amount upon repair completion
- The technician to test-drive your vehicle (short distance on-site) as necessary to verify the repair
- DRYVE to retain a record of the repair for warranty tracking and dispute resolution purposes
Your Rights
- You may decline any recommended repair at any time before work begins with no penalty (a diagnostic fee may apply if an inspection was performed).
- You may request a written estimate before authorizing any work.
- You may ask for replaced parts to be returned to you upon request, provided they are not required to be returned to the supplier under a core exchange agreement.
- You will receive a repair receipt by email after every completed service, including parts used, labor performed, and warranty coverage dates.
Vehicle Access
You represent that you are the owner of the vehicle or have authority from the owner to authorize repairs. DRYVE is not responsible for repairs performed on vehicles for which the authorizing party did not have legal authority to grant access or consent.
